Multani Mal Modi College organized 10 day Annual Workshop on Modern Techniques in Biological Sciences
Department of Biological Sciences, Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala had organized 4th Annual Workshop on Modern Techniques in Biological Sciences from 27th July to 5th August, 2019 for undergraduate and postgraduate students of Sciences. The concluding session of the workshop was held on Tuesday, where students were awarded certificates of participation.
Principal, Dr. Khushvinder Kumar addressed the students and said that theory provides the groundwork for knowledge about a topic, but the practical skills help in experiential and self-learning and will help them understand the theory better. He also congratulated the faculty of Biological Sciences for their tireless efforts and appreciated the broad range of techniques demonstrated during the workshop spread over six modules covering Microbiology, Biochemistry, Instrumentation, Botany, Zoology, Nutrition and Dietetics. Dr. Ashwani Kumar Sharma, Dean (Biological Sciences) emphasized upon the need and importance of practical skills along with hands-on training for students seeking jobs in the current scenario. Feedback was given by students, who while thanking the college authorities also showed their willingness to participate in such events in future also.
Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, Department of Biotechnology thanked the Principal and the whole team for their support and contribution. He said that the workshop is an annual feature at the start of the academic session which caters to the research needs of the students in basic and applied science fields.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਬਾਇਓਲਾਜੀਕਲ ਸਾਇੰਸਜ਼ ਫੈਕਲਟੀ ਨੇ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਅਤੇ ਪੋੋਸਟ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ‘ਜੀਵ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਤਕਨੀਕਾਂ’ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਮਿਤੀ 27 ਜੁਲਾਈ 2019 ਤੋਂ 5 ਅਗਸਤ 2019 ਤੱਕ ਚੱਲਣ ਵਾਲੀ 10 ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਮਿਤੀ 6 ਅਗਸਤ, 2019 ਨੂੰ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ ਪੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਇਓਲਾਜੀਕਲ ਸਾਇੰਸਜ਼ ਫੈਕਲਟੀ ਦੇ ਡੀਨ ਡਾ. ਅਸ਼ਵਨੀ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਇਓਲਾਜੀਕਲ ਸਾਇੰਸਜ਼ ਫੈਕਲਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਉਪਰਾਲਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਕਨੀਕਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਮਾਇਕਰੋਬਾਇਓਲਾਜੀ, ਬਾਇਓਕੈਮਿਸਟਰੀ, ਇੰਸਟਰੂਮੈਂਟੇਸ਼ਨ, ਬਾਟਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ੂਆਲੋਜੀ ਸਹਿਤ 6 ਮਾਡਿਊਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੈਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਦੀ ਨਿੱਤ ਬਦਲਦੀ ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਮਾਰਕਿਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੈਕਟੀਕਲ ਮੁਹਾਰਤ ਵੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨੀ ਪਵੇਗੀ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਅਥਾਰਟੀ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਤੋਂ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਦਿਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਨਿਧੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਫੀਡਬੈਕ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਬਾਇਓਟੈਕਨਾਜੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਡਾ. ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਲਈ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪਾਂ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਲਗਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਮੁਢਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਪਲਾਈਡ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੋਜ ਕਰਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਲੋੜਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।
